PHYLLIS COURT WEDDING - LIZ & BEN

A gorgeous gift of a sunny Saturday in September - the perfect day for messing about on the river, or indeed getting married by it. Ben and Liz certainly chose an amazing venue when they decided to hold their ceremony and celebrations at Phyllis Court in Henley on Thames. The glass Riverside Pavilion offered spectacular panoramic views of both the river and the stunning Chiltern countryside.

As Ben waited expectantly with his guests on the first floor, Liz made her entrance under the pretty striped awning which runs alongside the river, accompanied by her Mum and Sister. After the ceremony, guests mingled on the outdoor terrace for drinks & nibbles, listening to some wonderful al fresco jazz. They were then invited to enjoy a boat ride on the Thames , courtesy of a small floatila of traditional motor boats moored at jetty next to the venue.

Although the Riverside Pavillion can cater for reception dining, Liz & Ben opted to have their wedding breakfast in the Ballroom of the main house - a beautiful room with french windows that open onto views across the croquet lawns and formal gardens to the river in the distance.

After the meal and some genuinely heart-warming speeches, the band took to the stage and provided the accompaniment for the  truly inspirational dancing that followed.
