Bournemouth Beach Wedding

Coming from Oxfordshire  (possibly one of the most land-locked places in the country) I was extra excited when Kirsty & Rich chose  Beach Weddings Bournemouth as the location for their wedding celebrations. This great venue was one of first licensed beach locations in the country, the legal parts of the ceremony taking place in a gorgeous cream purpose-built wooden beach hut.

The great English weather is the only real unknown with an outdoor wedding in this country, but when I was greeted by Rich, immaculately turned out in  a beautiful blue suit with matching beach shorts I knew that, rain or shine, we were in for a great day..

There were so many parts of the day which, as a photographer, were both fun and inspiring. Kirsty arrived on the cliffs above the venue in a beautifully-restored VW camper van, before making her way down to the beach with her bridesmaids via the nearby cliff railway. The wedding party then made their way across the golden Bournemouth sands (via a helpfully laid path of coconut matting) for a happy and laughter-filled outdoor ceremony.

Afterwards, guests mingled on the beach for champagne and canapes- some of the braver ones even venturing into the waves for a paddle. The venue also provides a selection of beach games to keep all ages entertained. The new  Mr & Mrs then made their way to the nearby West Beach Restaurant  for their wedding breakfast.
